Embedded into a busy avenue the new McDonald’s restaurant becomes a unique component of the historic Kaunas old town. It is Modest in scale yet expressive in details. Facades are clad in perforated anthracite panels that light up in gradient patterns during night time. Regard to historical layers of the site is expressed in a shape of corten steel fence that marks former ownership boundaries.
