The name „LIGHT (lt. ŠVIESA)” has several meanings: firstly, it represents the role of national broadcaster as cultural “light” carrier as well as illuminator knowledge from the dark; secondly, it marks the importance of physical light in the film or movie set.

Project goal is to create “Factory of Light” – light and sensible headquarter of contemporary broadcaster, which integrates into urban context and helps to form perimeter of the street as well as respects cultural and historical heritage nearby.

The volume of the design is divided visually aiming to mark separate functions in the building: radio, television and web. Two main visual languages are used – light and illuminated parts of the building float around solid volumes of TV studios while Konarskio and Pietario st. corner building acts as a landmark noting the end of the site and urban quarter as well as headquarter of modern broadcaster.
